When making your plans, you should take into account when things get started at Gnomeward Bound and when they end. Although the convention officially runs from Saturday through Tuesday, we think that you'll want to arrive early and stay late if you can. The schedule is subject to change, of course, but here's our plan for an outline of the convention weekend.

Friday, June 29 (evening)

Pre-registered members badge pick-up. Con Suite opens. Anime Room opens. Open Gaming, Open Filking starts. Pre-con parties encouraged. Baseball outing to AT&T Park (See page 16).

Saturday, June 30

Artist check-in (morning). Dealers Room opens (afternoon). Art Show opens (afternoon). Programming begins (noon). Fanzine Lounge opens (noon). Opening Ceremonies/Meet the Guests Reception (evening). Site Selection Noon-6 PM.

Sunday, July 1

Convention is in full swing. Dealers Room 10 AM – 6 PM. Art Show 10 AM – 6 PM. Programming starts 10 AM. Westercon Business Meeting 11:30 AM. Site Selection Noon – 7 PM. Westercon Masquerade 8 PM.

Monday, July 2

Dealers Room 10 AM – 6 PM. Art Show 10 AM – 6 PM. Programming starts 10 AM. Westercon Site Selection announced. Serenity screening at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, July 3

Dealers Room 10 AM – 3 PM. Art Auction 1 PM. Art Show Pick-Up begins (noon). Main Programming 10 AM – 8 PM; Gaming and some other functions continue. Official Closing Ceremonies late afternoon.

Wednesday, July 4

Stick around an extra day for our extended "Dead Gnome Party" as the Con Suite stays open through tonight. Also, some specialty program items including gaming, birds-of-a-feather gatherings, Anime, and video may operate a limited schedule through early afternoon. Also, the hotel's front balcony will be a good place to watch fireworks this evening.
